My body’s aged thirty nine years
I am
More than the sum
Of yesterdays

My body is a whole new body
Every seven years
There have been five new poets
Moving forward
In syntax

My body is a thirty nine year
Old vehicle
There have been break downs
And tune ups
And oil changes
And miles to go before the grave yard

My body’s aged thirty nine years
I am
More than fingers and toes
Beloved under the sun
I am my soul
And I’ve only just begun
