Kids these days will grow up
And tell their kids,

“In my day, me and my friends networked
Through our digital devices
And ran amuck through virtual neighborhoods
Climbing minecrafted trees
Cyber bullying nerds with mean tweets
Sharing, liking, and reposting our filtered faces
In narcissistic selfies
Snap chatting, messaging, and texting
In “phone slumps” at the dinner table,
On dates, in class, and even on the toilet

All the while, seasons changed
And our elders passed
Unnoticed”
